SCHEDULE FOR LIAG, FIRST-WEDNESDAYS AUTHORS’ SERIES  

September 2: Glenn Poveromo, author of The Spirit’s Self-Help Book, will help you visualize your way to greater creativity and success!

September 2: Meet and greet for all LIAG members.  

October 7: Robert Boris Riskin, author of the Jake Wanderman mystery-thrillers, Scrambled Eggs and Deadly Bones,  will talk on rejection, and how to live with it.

October 7: Karen Flyer, author of Loss and Found, will talk about how we can recover from our past traumas.  

November  4: Phil Keith,  author of Animus, will give a talk on the pros and cons of  “self-publishing” with hints for successful book marketing.

November  4: All Members of LIAG will share their publishing stories. All authors are invited to display and sell their books. Holiday time is books-buying time!

[We will have a large table where members can place a single book on display. Authors will wear a name tag. People will find each other to talk and buy a book!]  

December 2: Yvonne Capitelli, Daria Rose and the Day She Chose.

December 2: Dorothy McPartland, Moonlight Dance and Wishing Star, will talk about her childrens’ books and answer the question we all have asked, “Why do we wish on a star?”  

January 6: David B. Axelrod, author of How to Apologize.

January 6: Adam Fisher, author of Enough to Stop the Heart.  

February 3: Kerriann Brosky, Ghosts of Long Island . If you don’t believe now, wait until you hear and read Ms. Brosky’s investigations.

February 3: Cindi Sansone-Braff,  recommended by Newsday as one of the six top mediums on LI, will talk about "The Lessons I've Learned from Talking to the Dead." 

March 3: Patrick Astre,  This Is Not Your Parents’ Retirement.

March 3: A discussion of tax advantages for writers.  

April 7: Vincent Simeone, author of Shrubs for Residential Gardens, will talk on flowering shrubs and trees, just in time for spring!

April 7: Clem Healy,  North and South Fork Cemeteries, discusses his book and the history of the East End .  

May 5: Suzanne Litrel, Jackie Tempo and the Emporer’s Seal.

May 5: Florence Gatto, author of The Scent of Jasmine, a multi-sense experience culminating in Sicilian cookies!  

June 2: Michael Cinquemani,  Night Tide (Reveals the untold story of one of Long Island ’s most controversial, eccentric and incredibly successful striped bass fishermen.)

June 2: Authors’ Open Mic. Bring something of your own to read or present and suggestions for a good summer of reading and writing.
