A FEW WORDS OF INTRODUCTION Even though your course will meet "on line," you should read the syllabus and expect to do all the requirements. On-line courses are a wonderful device, even a bit of a gift, but they still require you to do all the work and at a sufficient level of skill and quality. Luckily, you will be a big part of judging the quality of your own work. I, acting as your mentor and a bit of a nag, will, in turn be sure you have done enough. After all, there's nothing like a deadline to inspire you, and I can certainly set some of those. As for mentoring, I am an excellent editor. My job will be to help you make your work the best it can be. I won't impose my tastes on you, though I will lobby heavily for you to do some of the things that the best authors have found work to make creative writing successful. Ready to rock and roll?
